Neem oil is one of the top choices for pest control in organic gardens.
It’s capable of acting as an insecticide, a miticide, and a fungicide too.
That means there’s a high demand for both pure neem oil and organic neem oil and there are a ton of neem oil brands to choose from on the market.
So, we went out to test as many as we could find and these were the neem oil brands that most impressed us.
Our Picks Of The Best Neem Oil For Plants
Because neem oil is natural you can use it on everything from these herbs for indoor gardens, to these awesome plants for bathrooms to these great indoor plants for apartments.
You should, however, take a look at the neem oil products below carefully and consider your organic gardening needs. Neem oil concentrate and premium neem oil aren’t always the best neem oil for a given use.
Dyna-Gro NEM-008 Neem Oil, 8 Ounces
This is a nice affordable brand and it’s a neem oil product that contains no additional ingredients. It’s just neem oil extracted from neem seed.
If you find that this brand solidifies at room temperature, then you’ll find that (as with most neem oils) you can simply place it in a warm water bath for a few minutes, and then the neem oil will start to become liquid.
The only thing wrong with this neem oil is that it has a strong smell of neem tree about it, but it does fade if you give it a bit of time.
Neem Organics Pure Neem Oil
This spray neem oil contains more weight than other neem oil bottles and it’s a concentrated neem oil which means that you need to dilute it somewhat (one ounce of oil to one gallon of water) before you use it as a neem oil pesticide.
We use this on our indoor plants and it’s the kind of neem oil mixture that they really respond well to.
You can also mix neem oil and soap if you find bugs that are shrugging off the oil itself.
Pure PetraTools Neem Oil
Plants remain healthy for longer when using this natural pesticide and it holds USDA Organic certification so you know that this is a kind way to protect plants.
Whether your plants have aphids, scales, leafhoppers, thrips, mealybugs, or more, we’ve found that it works very well.
It has a long shelf life and can be used on garden plants all year round.
Harris Neem Oil, 100% Cold Pressed and Unrefined for Plant Spray

This is a cosmetic grade oil and that means it can be used to treat skin irritation and other skin and hair conditions too.
You can add it to a pet’s shampoo to get rid of fleas too!
However, it’s brilliant in the garden and the small spray solution is very handy. It works well on powdery mildew too.
We would note though that this dormant spray bottle is not cheap but we think it’s worth it as it’s a top-quality product.
Bonide 023 Neem Oil Insecticide
This brand is amazing for dealing with powdery mildew but be warned it’s strong enough to be harmful if it’s spilled on your skin and it will cause eye irritation if you get it in your eyes.
We also found this too strong to use with stressed, transplanted, or sensitive plants and it can cause damage if used on these species.
We like the subtle smell of this product too.
Organic Neem Bliss 100% Pure Cold Pressed Neem Seed Oil
If the amount of azadirachtin in your neem oil needs to be as high as possible? Then this quality neem oil is the right choice for your indoor and ornamental plants.
It will destroy spider mites, lily beetles, scales, leaf-footed bugs, and much more. It’s great on fruit trees too and seems to really entice beneficial insects into your garden as it discourages pests.
However, be warned – the smell of this is incredibly powerful.
Milania Organic Premium Grade Neem Oil
This is an effective neem oil that works well on skin and hair as well as an organic pesticide.
It has a pleasant earthy smell rather than that of neem seeds which is a pleasant change.
It can easily tackle spider mites (and works well as a natural insecticide) and fungal diseases too and we’d be happy to use this often – though it’s a bit expensive for our go-to option for outdoor plants.
Verdana Organic Cold Pressed Neem Oil
We found it a bit frustrating how easily this cold-pressed option turned solid but it does dissolve well enough when the bottle is placed in warm water.
It’s very safe around bees which is a big deal and can be used both indoors and outdoors without causing any issues.
Monterey LG6128 Concentrate 8OZ 70% Neem Oil
Be warned this is for heavy pesticide use only. It’s not pure neem oil and it contains unnamed chemical pesticides too.
So, please, don’t use this on your body or your pets as it may cause you harm. But if you have something like black spot, downy mildew, or aphids that won’t go away? Then you can be sure that this product will do the trick.
Natria 706250A Neem Oil Spray for Plants Pest Organic Disease Control
This is a simple ready-to-use formula that is not pure oil and it’s worth noting – the full ingredients have not been disclosed by the maker, so you should be careful of this if you want a fully organic solution to your pests.
However, if you want an insecticide that requires no preparation and which really works? Then you may find Natria ideal for your use.
